The Best Crepe in Paris

Updated: May 11, 2021

When I first came to France I heard about crepes before that, I was unaware of them. In my first three years, I tried many crepes all were the same there were just jam and Nutella or cheese and meat on the salty part. I did not like it because it was not like I wanted it to be. After all the bad experiences I stopped eating crepes. One month ago, my husband asked me for lunch and took me to rue Mouffetard Paris. There were so many restaurants and about 16 creperies, all were crowded. I wondered why I do not like them because people in France love them. I gave my order to an Indian man, who was quite nice. He reassured me that he will make it the way I want. When I was waiting for my order, I saw there were so many options. There were crepes with honey, jam, speculoos, brown sugar and many more. For the Savoury part, they had crepes with ground beef and chilli potatoes, chicken and salad and I cannot remember other names. The person was not like a typical host he loaded all crepes and made sure they were good enough for at least one meal. There so many foods on the menu but after eating my ground beef and chilli potato crepe I was so full. People came from different areas just to have this course. Since then, I have had a lot of crepes from so many creperies in Paris, but I love the ones in rue Mouffetard.

I tell all my friends to go there not because of a good menu but for the warm treatment by the host. My advice to all the students, tourists, or anyone who in Paris to try the crepes from that street. Especially for students and tourists, it is a reasonable amount for a meal. I got my meal with the drink for 8 euros, which for me was perfect. I want everyone to visit this place and have a happy hour.
